Cascade Falls Regional Park and Suspension Bridge

Cascade Falls near Mission, BC, is a series of scenic waterfalls that can be admired from a suspension bridge spanning over the river. Located approximately one and a half hour from downtown Vancouver makes this a popular spot amongst waterfall and photography enthusiasts.

The short but slightly steep 10 minute walk to the Falls allows easy access for most people to this natural gem. The sights of Cascade Falls and its suspension bridge is well worth the long drive from Vancouver.

Within Cascade Falls Regional Park, you will find various hiking trails including a walkway leading to a viewing platform over a large waterfall 30m in vertical drop as well as picnic areas and pit toilets. To reach the falls, head towards the end of the parking lot where you will see a metal gate by a hill. Continue towards a trail that begins on the right and follow the trail up a steep hill as it switchbacks and within minutes you will reach a set of wooden stairs. Climb the wooden stairs until you are just underneath the suspension bridge, where you will get the first scenic view of Cascade Falls.

Walk up the remaining stairs and cross the suspension bridge for a better view of the falls. After enjoying the view, head back across the suspension bridge and down the wooden stairs, returning to the parking lot via the gravel path.




Trailhead to Cascade Falls

  ESTIMATED DRIVING TIME FROM VANCOUVER: 1 HOUR 30 MINUTES

Head East on the Trans-Canada Highway / BC-1. Considering tolls are no longer applicable on the Port Mann Bridge, continue on the highway over the bridge all the way to Abbotsford. Take exit #92 and keep right around the loop toward Mission. Merge onto Highway 11 and continue North for 12.1 km. Take the exit right towards BC-7 E/Agassiz/City Centre. Turn left onto Horne St, then turn right onto Glasgow Ave/Murray St and soon after turn right onto 1 Ave/Lougheed Hwy/BC-7 E (signs for Agassiz/Harrison). Continue for 7.2 km then turn left onto Sylvester Rd. Head North on Sylvester Rd for 14.6 km and keep an eye for the next right turn onto Ridgeview Rd. 850 m later you will reach the parking lot for Cascade Falls Regional Park.
